Joseph Lopez serves as the Chef de Cuisine (CDC) and senior on-site culinary leader responsible for the daily execution of kitchen operations for Gather Catering. Holding an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and backed by 22 years of elite culinary experience, Joseph ensures the consistent execution of menus, production standards, food safety protocols, and staffing plans across all mobile catered events 7 days a week.

Throughout his distinguished career, Joseph has commanded world-class kitchens across major landmarks, theme parks, stadiums, and luxury resorts, including Disneyland (Catal Restaurant, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen), Monarch Beach Resort (Stone Hill Tavern, Bourbon Steak O.C., Aveo), Pechanga Casino (Umi, The Great Oak Steakhouse, Paisano's, Pechanga Café, 1882 Cantina), and Snapdragon Stadium, where he managed premium clubs, corporate catering, and luxury suites for crowds ranging from 10 to 175 guests.
Award-Winning Culinary Innovation
A celebrated talent within the gastronomic community, Joseph won "Restaurant of the Year" at Stone Hill Tavern and helped open two highly successful steakhouse concepts for celebrity Chef Michael Mina (Bourbon Steak Los Angeles and Bourbon Steak Orange County). A veteran of culinary media, he was a quarter-finalist for Carla Hall presents Favorite Chef 2025, has been on the show Chef Wanted with Anne Burrel, and has collaborated with culinary icons such as Michael Mina, Gary Francis Xavier LaMonte, and Lulu Derouen. Joseph is an active NACCUFFS member and is currently completing his Certified CDC credentials through the American Culinary Federation (ACF).

Now operating from Gather Catering’s state-of-the-art commercial kitchen facility in Vista, Joseph brings a fluid, innovative approach to the mobile kitchen. Specializing in adapting menus to the precise dietary needs and custom profiles of his clients, he brings regional communities together for everything from large-scale corporate events to intimate evenings with friends across Southern California, including North County, Temecula, and Riverside County.
